Bridled Goby

$12.99

The bridled goby is an interesting small fish, with a "bridle" running from the rear of mouth to the edge of the gill cover, giving it its name. They can be territorial, so it's better to have only one per tank. They eat small invertebrates with the sand but will also eat flakes of any other food offered. They will perch on rock and spend most of their time just chilling there, occasionally moving around the tank.

The bridled goby is a captivating small fish, identifiable by the "bridle" that extends from the back of its mouth to the edge of its gill cover. This feature gives the fish its name. They can be territorial, so it's advisable to keep only one per tank. Bridled gobies primarily feed on small invertebrates by sifting through the sand but will also accept flakes and other foods offered to them. As diurnal creatures, they are quite active during the day, often seen perched on rocks and relaxing in their environment. Their distinctive behavior, which includes darting in and out of crevices, makes them a popular choice for many aquariums.

These gobies adapt well to various marine aquariums but particularly thrive in tanks with ample rocks, hiding spots, and sandy substrates. They can grow up to 3 inches in length and are commonly found in reef environments at varying depths, often favoring sandy areas or perching around coral heads.
