Its diminutive size makes it a challenging creature to maintain, necessitating the search for tiny crabs or other suitable food. Like its larger counterparts, the pygmy octopus is an expert escape artist, making containment a significant challenge due to its ability to exploit even the smallest of cracks as an escape route.
